The
Vocal Majority performing I'm On My Way by Lerner & Lowe
at the ACDA National Conference.
The Vocal Majority Chorus was selected to perform at ACDA
National Convention
in Oklahoma City. The Vocal Majority, an eleven-time international champion Barbershop
Harmony Society Chorus from Dallas, Texas, is the first and only barbershop group to be accepted to perform at the American
Choral Directors Association's (ACDA) National Convention. The VM
performed in two concert spots on March 6, 2009
during the convention in Oklahoma City, Okla. This was the 50th anniversary of
ACDA, and choirs from all
over the world were invited to perform at this convention. The groups
are always top notch, often coming from colleges/
universities or professional choirs. Past performers include such high-profile harmonizers as Chanticleer, The Mormon Tabernacle
Choir, and King’s Singers.
This was a tremendous opportunity for The Vocal Majority and the barbershop art form.
